Brief Profile
Dr. Vijayshree Siddharth Patil is a specialist in Pain and Palliative Care, currently serving as Head of Department and Consultant Pain & Palliative Care Physician at the Head and Neck Cancer Institute of India (HNCII), Mumbai. She also serves as Medical Director at Sukoon Nilaya Palliative Care Centre, Mumbai, and holds visiting consultant positions across several leading hospitals in Mumbai.
With over 14 years of experience spanning anaesthesiology, critical care, and palliative medicine, Dr. Patil brings a uniquely multidisciplinary perspective to the care of patients with cancer. Her training includes a Fellowship in Palliative Care from St. Christopher's Hospice, London, one of the world's foremost palliative care institutions, as well as a National Clinical Fellowship from the Institute of Palliative Care, Kozhikode, under the auspices of the WHO. She holds a DNB in Anaesthesiology and a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine, complemented by an Executive PG Diploma in Hospital Administration from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
Dr. Patil is a certified Instructor and Faculty for Basic and Advanced Life Support with the American Heart Association, and for Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCRISP) with the Royal College of Surgeons, UK.
A researcher and published author, Dr. Patil has presented her work at national and international forums, published paper and written chapters for books in her area of expertise.
Beyond her clinical and academic pursuits, Dr. Patil is the Founder of The Safety Net (TSN Healthcare & Training LLP), an initiative focused on healthcare education and patient safety.
